The Inflation Reduction Act calls for states to establish programs to provide incentives for multi-family building owners that are similar to the BayREN measures. It is unclear how these programs will be administered and what the eligibility criteria may be.
California Energy-Smart Homes provides rebates for multi-family buildings of three stories or fewer. Four story buildings that consist of 3 residential stories over a ground story with garages are ineligible.
